Basic Service

The five common upcharges

Body prep package
Almost universal at every Maaco location. The advertised price assumes the car arrives with no scratches deeper than the clear coat, no surface rust, no chips deeper than the base coat. Real cars rarely qualify. The body prep package covers sanding and feathering of pre-existing damage, surface rust treatment, and chip filling. Typical add-on: $150-$300 on a sedan.
Jamb work add-on
Maaco's basic and preservation tiers mask door jambs, trunk jamb, and fuel filler door shut. The advertised price does not include painting them. If you want any of those areas painted (mandatory on a color change), the add-on is $150-$300. Premium and Diamond tiers usually include jambs.
Bodywork
Maaco shops do basic bodywork (dent removal, plastic-bumper crack repair, surface chip filling) but it is billed separately from the paint package. Expect $50-$200 per minor dent, $200-$500 per significant repair (large dent, panel skin work).
